OUR CSR COMMITMENT

WHAT IS CSR?

The European Commission defines corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a concept
whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations
and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis.

“A company that adopts CSR therefore seeks to have a positive impact on society while also
being economically viable”.

For several years, Jallatte has been committed to a world more respectful of people
and the environment with its CSR initiative called J-CLEAN.

WHICH CSR INITIATIVES HAS JALLATTE PUT IN PLACE?

1. The relocalisation of part of production to the historical site of Saint Hippolyte
du fort in the Gard region

2. The creation of collections of safety shoes certified as carbon neutral by
Bureau Veritas according to international standard PAS 2060, and made in France

3. Our commitment to a plan to reduce our carbon footprint in the long term certified
according to the requirements of standard PAS 2060 (reducing our energy consumption
and using green electricity)

4. The development of local employment and expertise

5. The adoption of social benefits and the development of a programme for quality
of life at work to improve well-being at work and the company’s performance

6. A strategy to control costs and to manage pricing helping take profitable market
shares and guaranteeing the company’s longevity

7. The priority given to local suppliers and service providers whenever possible

8. A plan to reduce our waste by setting up sorting solutions and a composter

9. The protection of the environment and maintenance of the ecosystem by setting up
bee hives around Jallatte fort

The solid initiatives we are implementing as part of J-CLEAN make Jallatte a
committed and responsible player in a societal and environmental process aimed at
improving the well-being of our employees and users, while also preserving the planet!
